Dan Hawk, an ex-detective turned writer, is re-instated onto the force after returning to his home town. A serial killer has 'donned the guise' of Hawks most famous book creation, and has begun to kill people off one by one.
The plot follows six strangers who enter a cash-prize endurance challenge at the Val Verde Hotel, a location infamous for a fatal explosion and rumors of being haunted. Instead of being stalked by a physical, masked serial killer, the contestants face immersive, supernatural scares when the hauntings at the hotel turn out to be all too real.
